Research Associate Scientist - Bioassay

Location: St. Louis, Missouri, USA; candidates must live within a commutable distance of Chesterfield, Missouri.

What you will do

• Develop, perform, and troubleshoot in vitro cell-based expression assays and flow cytometry assays for product testing.
• Support assay development using molecular biology techniques.
• Document and report laboratory data in accordance with GMP and good documentation practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and multidisciplinary project teams to deliver accurate testing on schedule.

Requirements

• Indefinite authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship is required.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in biotechnology, biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related life science discipline.
• 1–3 years of relevant industrial experience.
• Hands-on experience with molecular and cell biology techniques, including in vitro expression assays, mammalian cell culture, cell-based assays, flow cytometry, and aseptic technique.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to good documentation practices.
• Ability to work onsite Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., within commuting distance of Chesterfield, Missouri.

Nice to have

• Experience in GMP or GMP-like environments.
• Experience with PCR/qPCR, ELISA, blotting techniques, and method validation.
