Senior Property Risk Engineer (Insurance)

Location: Nationwide, Sweden; primarily office-based with client-site surveys and consultative visits

What you will do

• Perform property loss prevention reviews and field surveys for commercial and light-hazard industrial facilities.
• Identify occupancy hazards, evaluate protection features, and assess external exposures affecting client facilities.
• Estimate fire and natural catastrophe losses and manage risk improvement recommendations with clients.
• Document review results in a data-driven application and create client service plans.
• Support underwriters and account teams with risk selection, portfolio management, service estimates, and quality reviews.
• Conduct client meetings, consultative facility visits, and reviews of completed account and field survey reports.

Requirements

• Several years of property risk engineering experience in field risk engineering or account engineering.
• University degree in engineering.
• Broad knowledge of property risk controls and experience surveying commercial and light-hazard industrial occupancies.
• Ability to inspect buildings and structures visually and with instruments, and to read construction drawings and diagrams.
• Strong relationship management, interpersonal, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Fluent Swedish and English are required.

Nice to have

• Finnish or Danish language skills.
• Professional Engineer or Certified Fire Protection Specialist designation.
• Excellent presentation and Excel skills.
