Technical Program Manager (SaaS)

Location: Melville, NY, United States; hybrid schedule with in-office days on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday and remote work on Wednesday and Friday

Salary: $135,000–$140,000 per year, plus annual bonus eligibility

What you will do

• Own the master release timeline across engineering teams, with a particular focus on the POS release cycle.
• Map cross-team dependencies, surface conflicts, facilitate go/no-go checkpoints, and manage the release calendar.
• Coordinate release readiness across Engineering, QA, Technical Writing, Marketing, and Customer Success.
• Define and maintain RACI matrices, release runbooks, checklists, onboarding guides, dependency maps, and risk registers.
• Identify risks and bottlenecks, drive mitigation plans, and escalate unresolved cross-team conflicts to the CTO and Head of Product.
• Build organization-wide status reporting, establish program metrics, and improve delivery practices and tooling.

Requirements

• 5–9 years of experience in technical program management, engineering program management, or a comparable role coordinating multiple engineering teams.
• Experience building and operating program-level release coordination, beyond a single team or project.
• Strong technical fluency in architecture, dependencies, and technical risk.
• Experience defining and documenting processes from scratch, including runbooks, RACI matrices, and dependency tracking frameworks.
• Experience managing product, QA, marketing, and customer success stakeholders through complex releases.
• Clear written communication and the ability to produce decision-oriented status reports for leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience in a SaaS company serving retail or enterprise clients.
• Familiarity with Kanban-based delivery workflows and process maturity frameworks.
• Experience evaluating or implementing AI-assisted workflows for delivery visibility or reporting.
• Experience working closely with a CTO or VP of Engineering in a fast-moving product organization.
