What you will do
- Lead the accounts payable team and oversee daily AP operations, including vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and payment transactions.
- Manage procure-to-pay processes, vendor relationships, and communications with internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee AP reconciliations and month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
- Improve accounting processes, implement systems, and automate manual AP workflows.
- Prepare and analyze AP reports and provide recommendations to senior management.
- Maintain internal controls, support compliance with GAAP and applicable regulations, and provide documentation for audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 7–9 years of progressive accounting and accounts payable experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial or people-management role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP and accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance.
- Leadership, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills with strong attention to detail and integrity.
- Must meet U.S. Government Space Technology Export Regulation eligibility requirements.

- Experience in a publicly traded or SOX-compliant company.
- Experience with external audits, ERP implementations, AP transformation, or AP automation solutions.
- Experience in a startup, high-growth, or venture-backed company.
- Experience with government contracts, electronic manufacturing, or the aerospace industry.
