NPI Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Onsite five days a week in Anoka and/or Blaine, Minnesota, United States

What you will do

• Lead manufacturing projects from kickoff through product launch, including timelines, resources, deliverables, PPAP, safe launch containment, and ECNs.
• Evaluate product designs, manufacturing processes, equipment capabilities, material flow, labor requirements, and customer specifications for scalable production.
• Analyze SPC data and process capability, identify failure points, and reduce launch and production risks.
• Develop APQP outputs such as capability studies, FMEAs, process flow diagrams, control plan inputs, inspection instructions, and process validation records.
• Design and implement fixtures, job aids, tooling improvements, and work instructions to improve assembly efficiency, ergonomics, and process consistency.
• Resolve manufacturability, quality, production efficiency, material, equipment, and cross-functional launch challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong understanding of NPI principles, including ECNs and integration of changes into quality planning.
• Experience with Control Plans, FMEAs, and process flow diagrams in collaboration with quality teams.
• Understanding of GD&T and the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and other applicable regulatory requirements.
