Mechanical Engineer (Entry Level)

Location: San Diego, California; onsite five days a week. Relocation is available. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $72,360–$108,540 per year

What you will do

• Create Creo designs for turbomachinery package systems and supporting subsystems, including fuel, lube, and start systems.
• Design custom piping, hoses, bracketry, and other package components.
• Prepare accurate and timely Mechanical Interface Drawings and mechanical definitions for production and customers.
• Create bills of materials and production drawings.
• Coordinate with design teams, purchasing, suppliers, and other support organizations.
• Apply analysis techniques, resolve field technical issues, and support Lean process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8.
• Organization, time management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Basic understanding of structural analysis, system design, turbine applications, and installation.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.

Nice to have

• Experience with gas turbine systems and their operation.
• Knowledge of linked or configurable data.
• Experience with Creo Parametric and Windchill.
