TL;DR

Senior .NET Developer (.NET/C#): Building and modernizing secure enterprise applications, frameworks, integrations, and CI/CD pipelines for digital insurance and telematics capabilities with an accent on scalable architecture, application reliability, and secure software delivery. Focus on leading solution design, optimizing distributed systems and cloud costs, and resolving complex issues across third-party connections and regulated data environments.

Location: Remote from Lagunilla de Heredia, Costa Rica; occasional in-person attendance at work-related events may be required.

What you will do

Lead development for DHI Information Technology applications and frameworks, including the hirify.global Telematics project.
Guide solution design, architecture decisions, delivery planning, and engineering best practices.
Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, maintain, and support secure enterprise applications using Microsoft .NET.
Build and support reliable, scalable, performant, and secure integrations with third-party business partners.
Maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, repeatable deployments, and continuous security scanning.
Partner with product, project, business, and technology stakeholders to define technical direction and resolve application issues.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, IS, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5–8 years of software development, product engineering, or software consulting experience with the Microsoft .NET stack.
Strong experience with .NET, .NET Core 5 or 6, C#, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Web API, and Visual Studio.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, SQL, schema design, data access layers, and data integrity.
Knowledge of distributed systems, complex integrations, application performance optimization, cloud development, CI/CD, automated testing, and secure SDLC practices.
Ability to translate stakeholder requirements into technical specifications and maintainable software solutions.

Nice to have

Experience supporting .NET Core applications on Linux-based environments.
Knowledge of design patterns, dependency injection, Autofac, Ninject, or Microsoft Unity.
Experience with test-driven development and automated test coverage improvement.
Familiarity with HIPAA and PCI security requirements.
Experience with AWS, cloud cost optimization, and tools for improving reliability and engineering productivity.
