Senior Fullstack Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Build and improve backend systems powering real-time voice conversations.
• Develop integrations for telephony, real-time audio, and external AI services.
• Ship end-to-end product features across the voice platform and user-facing web experiences.
• Enhance platform reliability, observability, and overall performance.
• Address real-time interaction challenges including interruptions and conversation flow.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to create polished voice experiences.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building production software.
• Strong backend engineering fundamentals in APIs, async systems, and system design.
• Experience with real-time or event-driven systems (WebSockets, WebRTC, streaming).
• Ability to own product features from conception to deployment.
• Must be based in one of the specified US office locations for hybrid work.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with React and TypeScript.
• Experience with Python async backend architectures.
• Knowledge of telephony, SIP, or audio/video systems.
• Experience with LLMs, speech systems, or conversational AI.
