Hazardous Waste & Turn-In Technician (Hazardous Material Supply Operations)

Location: On-site at 1741 Marshall Road, Fort Bliss, Texas, United States; generally across the CONUS Southwest Region. U.S. citizenship is required.

What you will do

• Coordinate hazardous waste accumulation and support hazardous material receipt, storage, tracking, and sustainment logistics.
• Prepare manifests, disposal documentation, and compliance reports.
• Sort returned hazardous materials into reusable, serviceable, and waste categories.
• Support reuse-center operations and maintain 30-day storage control requirements.
• Coordinate with the Installation Environmental Office before disposal.
• Track required certifications, HAZMAT training, background documentation, and personnel qualification standards.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of hazardous waste handling experience.
• HAZWOPER certification required.
• U.S. citizenship required; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Knowledge of waste classification, manifest preparation, and packaging and transport compliance.
• Strong safety compliance, documentation accuracy, regulatory adherence, communication, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work on-site at the Fort Bliss client location.

Nice to have

• DoD installation experience.
• CDL for transporting materials.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word; Adobe Acrobat, data analytics tools, and Visio.
