Regulatory Compliance Specialist (Food)

Location: London - The Shard; full-time, onsite role.

What you will do

• Maintain accurate regulatory information across product categories and systems to support compliant product delivery.
• Review ingredient specifications, recipes, label artwork, and product information against EU and UK food legislation, codes of practice, company policies, and internal standards.
• Provide regulatory guidance to R&D, Artwork, Marketing, Supply Chain, Legal, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
• Support product launches, renovations, and change projects from kick-off through launch.
• Review claims, advertising, promotional materials, and other product communications, identifying risks and regulatory implications.
• Respond to internal, consumer, and customer queries and share relevant updates to legislation and government guidance.

Requirements

• Degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
• Regulatory experience in food, FMCG, or a related sector.
• Strong understanding of EU and UK food law, including labelling, nutrition and health claims, and ingredient and additive compliance.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex environment.
• Clear communication and stakeholder management skills across functions and levels.
• Ability to assess issues, identify risks, and provide balanced, pragmatic recommendations independently.
