Workshop Technician (Cryogenic Equipment)

Location: Worcester, United Kingdom; full-time onsite workshop role

What you will do

• Prepare work-order equipment, cryogenic storage tanks, pipework, and ancillary equipment for customer installations.
• Install, test, refurbish, and assemble pressure pipework, cryogenic tanks, nitrogen generators, compressors, and associated components.
• Pick parts to replenish workbench Kanban supplies and meet customer demand dates.
• Complete equipment failure reports, job reporting, and associated documentation.
• Carry out oxygen-cleaning activities and support returns and complaints investigations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement events and facility planned-maintenance tasks.

Requirements

• Basic mechanical engineering experience in pipework, fitting, pneumatics, fabrication, welding, soldering, or brazing.
• Basic understanding of pressure vessels and components such as safety devices, regulators, and valves.
• Basic electrical knowledge.
• Understanding of cryogenic application fundamentals and compliance requirements.
• Strong communication skills and a logical, practical approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Nice to have

• Forklift truck licence.
• Overhead cranage operation licence.
• Training is provided for desirable qualifications and skills.
