Manager, Global Banks Risk Consulting (Technology Risk)

Location: Toronto, Canada; work may be performed in person or remotely, with travel to meet client needs.

Compensation: $88,000–$162,000 annually, plus eligibility for a discretionary performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Advise global banking institutions on IT risk management, governance, internal audit, and technology control frameworks.
• Assess the design and operating effectiveness of IT and application controls, identify risk exposures, and develop remediation plans.
• Lead risk assessment interviews, audit planning, deliverable reviews, closing meetings, and client communications.
• Manage multiple clients, projects, teams, project economics, billing expectations, and collections.
• Build relationships with management and executive stakeholders and contribute to proposals, budgets, and thought leadership.
• Manage, mentor, and develop consulting professionals while supporting training and future leadership development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, management information systems, computer and information science, accounting, or a related discipline.
• At least five years of experience in IT risk management, IT audit, IT security, or IT compliance supporting large global banking institutions.
• Experience leading project-based work with defined milestones and timelines, managing people, mentoring staff, and monitoring team workloads.
• Understanding of relevant regulations, standards, and frameworks, including FFIEC, SOX, COSO, COBIT, ITIL, ISO 27001, PCI, HIPAA, and GLBA.
• Ability to communicate technical findings and recommendations to technical and senior management stakeholders, with strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel to meet client needs and collaborate with others in person or remotely.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in public accounting or a professional services firm.
• CPA, CISA, CISSP, CISM, or CIPP certification.
• Experience with machine learning, automation, data, and analytics trends in global banking.
