Onsite Environmental Technician (Hazardous Waste)

What you will do

• Collect hazardous and non-hazardous waste throughout customer facilities.
• Identify, package, label, consolidate, and bulk chemical waste in accordance with requirements.
• Participate in spill response activities at customer sites.
• Inspect drums for container integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks and safely load and unload waste hauling vehicles.
• Complete waste stream sampling, profiling, and related administrative duties.

Requirements

• Ability to pass 40-hour HAZWOPER training upon hire.
• Ability to use heavy and light equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Proficiency with hand tools, shop tools, and instruments.
• Accuracy, thoroughness, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
• A valid driver’s license may be required for some positions.
