RF Test Engineer II (Aerospace)

Location: Austin, TX, United States; on-site. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, conditional residents, asylees, refugees, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

What you will do

• Develop and execute test plans and procedures for RF systems.
• Collaborate with design and test engineering teams to define requirements, create reusable test architectures, and present results to stakeholders.
• Operate and maintain spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, and other RF test equipment.
• Participate in design-for-test planning and reviews from the early stages of RF product development.
• Review and approve RF test data, support root cause analysis and anomaly investigations, and participate in failure review boards.
• Present engineering design review materials to customers and executives and contribute to proposal writing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 2+ years of relevant industry or research experience.
• Hands-on experience with digital oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF signal generators, and vector signal analyzers.
• Working knowledge of RF measurements, VSAs, VSGs, VNAs, test architectures, and automation.
• Excellent written and spoken communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• U.S. work authorization or eligibility to obtain the required export-control authorizations is required.

Nice to have

• Space industry experience.
• Experience with phased array testing.
• Programming or scripting experience with Python, MATLAB, or C/C++.
• Understanding of RF and mixed-signal hardware, including amplifiers, filters, ADCs/DACs, and antennas.
