Loan Originator (South Region)

Compensation: $15.00 per hour minimum, plus eligibility for monthly commissions.

What you will do

• Procure new residential mortgage transactions and serve as the primary contact for loan applicants.
• Assist borrowers with selecting loan programs, completing applications, and gathering supporting documentation.
• Assemble and review loan applications, conduct preliminary underwriting reviews, and analyze credit reports.
• Guide borrowers through the application and closing process.
• Develop referral relationships with realtors, builders, bankers, and other sources to generate new business.

Requirements

• At least two years of mortgage loan origination experience.
• Thorough knowledge of mortgage product pricing, underwriting requirements, processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
• Knowledge of federal real estate lending regulations, including Truth-in-Lending and RESPA.
• Ability to analyze financial information and exercise sound judgment and diplomacy.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a professional demeanor, and proficiency with Outlook.
• NMLS registration under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and ability to travel.
