Mortgage Lending Officer - Outside Sales

Location: United States; position can be based in the Windsor, Madison, or Appleton market

Salary: $66,000 annually plus incentives and a 3% annual target bonus

What you will do

• Market and originate mortgage loans in line with regulatory and investor guidelines.
• Source referrals and build lending relationships with realtors, builders, financial professionals, and other partners.
• Educate members and referral partners about mortgage programs, financing options, rates, products, and requirements.
• Gather application documentation and use automated underwriting tools to assess loan eligibility.
• Coordinate with members, realtors, underwriters, processors, and closers to meet closing dates.
• Monitor investor guidelines, market conditions, competitor offerings, and state-specific lending requirements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of mortgage Loan Officer experience.
• Mortgage Loan Originator unique qualifier or NMLS registration, with successful completion of SAFE Act registry requirements, background and credit checks, and fingerprinting.
• Knowledge of sales prospecting, referral generation, mortgage compliance, attorney requirements, and community property laws.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, customer service, time management, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and maintain professional business networks.
• College degree preferred; working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word; must be bondable.
