Extrusion Operator - Weekends

Location: On-site in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina, United States. Weekend day shift: Friday–Sunday and every other Thursday, 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.; weekend night shift: Friday–Sunday and every other Thursday, 6:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m.

Salary: Starting at $20.00 per hour, depending on experience, with a $2.00 per hour weekend dayshift differential or $2.50 per hour weekend nightshift differential.

What you will do

• Safely set up, disassemble, operate, and maintain assigned extrusion and production equipment.
• Read shop-floor documents and follow operating instructions for manufacturing equipment.
• Complete required production documentation accurately.
• Perform quality control checks and inspections on assigned product lines.
• Support other areas of cable manufacturing operations as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, and understand machine-operation documents printed in English.
• Basic math skills and computer operation ability.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to handle material, walk, and perform production machine operations; regular lifting of up to 30 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 45 pounds may be required.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in a manufacturing facility or machine operator position.
