Store Director - American Girl Retail

Location: American Girl flagship retail store, Los Angeles, California, United States. Onsite role requiring a flexible retail schedule, including days, nights, and weekends.

Salary: USD 120,000–147,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead the overall day-to-day operations and performance of the American Girl flagship retail store.
• Develop retail strategies and initiatives that improve customer service, sales generation, and brand experience.
• Oversee a multi-departmental facility spanning retail, restaurant, salon, party, and other experiential programs.
• Manage financial planning, revenue forecasting, project budgets, timelines, and monthly store P&L performance.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and Brand, Marketing, Purchasing, Inventory Control, Distribution, and Human Resources partners.
• Lead management-team performance, staffing, training, succession planning, and organizational development.

Requirements

• 10+ years of retail management experience; premium or high-end retail experience is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field is preferred.
• Willingness to work a flexible retail schedule, including days, nights, and weekends.
• Experience leading teams, managing operations, delivering customer service standards, and achieving financial results.
• Ability to plan and execute store initiatives, manage change, and collaborate with cross-functional business partners.
