What you will do

• Administer and record radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist.
• Position radiation beams accurately according to designated tumor volumes and prescribed doses.
• Enter and maintain patient treatment parameters in the electronic medical record.
• Interpret computerized treatment plans, complete simple MU calculations, and prepare blocks and custom molds when applicable.
• Support patient scheduling, billing information submission, and clinical instruction for newly hired therapists and students.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment and follow the US Oncology Compliance Program.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
• ARRT certification is required.
• Valid state license for radiation therapy is required.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, and occasionally lift or move up to 30 pounds.
• Vision and hearing must be correctable to normal ranges.
