Loan Originator (Mortgage)

Location: Bloomington, Minnesota; Central Region covering Minnesota, Iowa, and North Dakota

Compensation: Minimum estimated hourly rate of $11.50, plus eligibility for monthly commissions.

What you will do

• Assemble and review mortgage applications and match borrowers with appropriate loan programs.
• Assist borrowers with applications and collect supporting documentation.
• Conduct preliminary underwriting reviews and analyze credit reports and financial information.
• Serve as the primary contact for borrowers throughout the application and closing process.
• Develop referral relationships with realtors, builders, bankers, and other sources to generate new business.

Requirements

• At least two years of mortgage loan origination experience.
• Thorough knowledge of mortgage product pricing, underwriting requirements, processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
• Knowledge of federal real estate lending regulations, including Truth-in-Lending and RESPA.
• Strong financial analysis, interpersonal, communication, judgment, and diplomacy skills.
• Outlook proficiency and ability to travel.
• Current National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008.
