CNC Programmer I (Salvagnini): Creating punch, laser, SL4, and bender programs and scheduling sheet metal production through nesting on Salvagnini equipment with an accent on production coordination, material tracking, and software troubleshooting. Focus on resolving manufacturability issues with engineering, evaluating programming processes, and training other programmers.
Location: Memphis, Tennessee, United States; onsite, full-time
What you will do
- Create punch, laser, SL4, and bender programs for new sheet metal parts.
- Schedule sheet metal production on Salvagnini S4 punch, laser, SL4, and P4 bender lines by creating nests.
- Coordinate production with the OPS system and track daily raw-material orders from the shear department.
- Monitor scrap from each nest and submit material transfer forms.
- Resolve Salvagnini part-production issues with engineering and troubleshoot equipment software.
- Evaluate new software and processes, train other programmers, and lead programming work when required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education is advantageous for career development.
- 4–6 years of industry experience or equivalent experience in a similar industry.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain seated for up to 95% of the shift.
- Ability to work occasionally in conditions below 32°F or above 90°F.
Nice to have
- Salvagnini advanced or basic programming certification.
- Leadership Training Program certification.
