Supervisor - SR&ED (Engineering)

Location: Calgary, Canada; in-office, hybrid, or fully remote work options are available.

Compensation: $73,000–$126,400 annually, plus eligibility for a discretionary performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Engage clients to identify SR&ED opportunities and guide claims throughout the preparation and submission lifecycle.
• Prepare clear, technically rigorous SR&ED submissions that describe technological advancements and capture eligible work.
• Collaborate with financial specialists to identify eligible costs and develop efficient claim strategies.
• Represent clients in interactions with the Canada Revenue Agency and provincial bodies, including review, audit, and FTCAS processes.
• Provide guidance and training on SR&ED eligibility, program expansion, and related federal and provincial tax incentives.
• Lead multiple client engagements while researching legislation, CRA policies, case law, and industry developments.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in an engineering, applied science, technology, or related technical field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Applied Science, or Technology, or a diploma in a related technology from an accredited institution.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
• Ability to manage multiple client assignments, prioritize work, meet deadlines, and operate autonomously and collaboratively.
• Commitment to quality, professionalism, client service, and adapting to a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Two to five years of previous SR&ED experience.
• Mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience in industrials, electronics, civil engineering, or mining.
• Experience with Clean Economy Investment Tax Incentives.
• Bilingual English/French communication skills.
