Senior Consultant, Business Enablement and Governance (Business Controls)

Location: Toronto, Canada; hybrid work with 1–3 days per week on-site at Toronto-81 Bay

What you will do

• Lead the management of material, systemic, and emerging operational risks across Digital Platforms and Client Engagement.
• Develop and implement integrated control improvement solutions across products and distribution channels.
• Identify risk exposures, control gaps, operational losses, root causes, and materiality; recommend mitigation plans.
• Lead incident reporting investigations, risk assessments, deficiency remediation, internal audits, and compliance exams.
• Execute Control Framework requirements, including RCSAs, scenario assessments, deficiency management, key risk indicators, incident reporting, and regulatory compliance incidents.
• Provide risk and control expertise, relationship management, mentoring, coaching, and indirect people leadership to business partners and lines of defense.

Requirements

• Experience in business controls, governance, audit, compliance, and/or operational risk management.
• Extensive knowledge of risk management principles, practices, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to communicate Control Framework requirements and accountabilities to line-of-business partners.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, investigation, communication, relationship-management, and negotiation skills.
• Project management experience is an asset.
• Must be legally eligible to work at the specified location and hold a valid work or study permit where applicable.
