What you will do

• Fabricate new and replacement parts for durable medical equipment using lathes, drill presses, milling machines, grinders, and other machining tools.
• Read blueprints, job orders, and machining instructions, then set up machines and select tooling, cutting speeds, feed rates, and materials.
• Measure and inspect finished parts with calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Perform preventive equipment maintenance, maintain inventory, and complete production documentation.
• Follow ISO, FDA, Lockout/Tagout, and workplace safety requirements while maintaining an organized work area.
• Assist with material handling and other manufacturing duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read blueprints and machining specifications.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and shop math skills.
• Experience operating machine tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and regularly lift up to 40 lbs.
