TL;DR
Behavioral Health Clinical Quality Audit Analyst Sr. (Clinical Quality Audits/Behavioral Health): Conducting on-site quality audits, medical record reviews, quality-of-care investigations, and reporting for behavioral health programs with an accent on NCQA, AAHC, EQRO, HEDIS, and CPG compliance. Focus on analyzing quality trends, designing improvement interventions, preparing peer review cases, and coordinating monitoring activities across provider facilities.

Location: Field-based role in Maryland; must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Hanover. Local travel to provider facilities is required, with virtual work from home when not in the field.

Salary: $79,716–$119,574 annually.

What you will do

  • Participate in on-site external quality audits, including NCQA, AAHC, and EQRO audits.
  • Prepare required audit documentation and quality management reports.
  • Analyze trends, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend valid quality indicators.
  • Implement and monitor behavioral health outcomes improvement studies, education initiatives, outreach programs, surveys, and medical record reviews.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc HEDIS and CPG compliance reviews.
  • Conduct quality-of-care investigations, close or refer cases, and prepare cases for the Peer Review Committee.

Requirements

  • MS or MA degree in behavioral health or a related field.
  • At least three years of experience in quality improvement, behavioral health, risk management, utilization review, or process improvement in a managed care setting.
  • Residence in Maryland within a reasonable distance of Hanover and availability for local travel are required.
  • Specific education, experience, or licensure may be required by contract and delegated responsibilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

Nice to have

  • BCBA certification.
  • Applied Behavior Analysis experience.
