What you will do

• Provide operational database administration across Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server environments.
• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot database performance, availability, and reliability.
• Support database maintenance, upgrades, backups, recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery activities.
• Contribute to operational projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Senior DBAs, infrastructure teams, and application teams supporting critical production environments.
• Participate in an on-call roster approximately every two weeks and undertake occasional paid overtime when required.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of database administration experience; candidates with 2–3 years of relevant experience may also be considered.
• Strong Oracle Database Administration experience and exposure to Microsoft SQL Server administration.
• Experience supporting large-scale, highly available production environments.
• Knowledge of database operations, maintenance, monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Strong SQL scripting and problem-solving skills.
• Availability for rostered after-hours on-call support and occasional paid overtime.

Nice to have

• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle Exadata, or SQL Server Always On.
• Experience in financial services, payments, or PCI-DSS regulated environments.
• Experience in Agile or product-led technology teams.
• Oracle Certified Professional or Microsoft certifications.
