TL;DR
Systems Engineer (Linux/Go/Kubernetes): Building, implementing, and operating secure regulatory systems for telecommunications infrastructure with an accent on high availability, security architecture, and on-premises cloud-native tooling. Focus on supporting end-to-end systems delivery, maintaining critical platforms, and integrating infrastructure automation across regulated environments.
Location: NSW, Australia; hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two days from wherever works best

What you will do
- Support senior engineers in delivering end-to-end solutions from development through operations.
- Build and maintain highly available, secure, and scalable regulatory systems.
- Partner with technical and business teams, government agencies, and law enforcement stakeholders.
- Participate in security risk assessments and maintain security architecture for regulated environments.
- Improve engineering practices through automation and modern technologies.
Requirements
- Australian citizenship and an Australian Government security clearance, or eligibility to acquire one, are required.
- Experience with full-stack, end-to-end systems support, including infrastructure build and operations.
- Essential Linux experience.
- Experience with Proxmox virtualization and Rancher Kubernetes.
- Essential Go development experience; Rust familiarity and willingness to develop further are required.
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD, SDLC, infrastructure automation, data centers, and server, network, and storage maintenance.
Nice to have
- Python development experience.
- Terraform, Ansible, Packer, or similar cloud-native tooling.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Cybersecurity certifications.
