System Engineer RAN OSS (Telecommunications)

Location: Macquarie Park, NSW, Australia; hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two days from wherever works best

What you will do

• Support vendor RAN OSS solution deployment, customization, configuration, and continuous improvement.
• Review and govern vendor solution builds to align with hirify.global architecture.
• Coordinate northbound interface integration and hardware deployment with other technical teams.
• Configure and maintain RAN OSS platforms to meet network requirements and performance standards.
• Provide Level 2/3 technical assistance and resolve complex platform issues.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of RAN OSS architecture, components, and functionality.
• Hands-on experience with Element Management Systems for radio network equipment.
• Knowledge of telecommunications principles, protocols, and standards.
• Programming experience with Java and Python, plus scripting with Perl and Unix shell.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, rules engines, messaging buses, and relational and graph databases.
• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, plus 3–5 years of telecommunications industry experience.
