Engineer 2, Process Development (Chemical)

What you will do

• Introduce new reagent products and transfer technologies and processes for Array and Sequencing consumables.
• Define, improve, design, and develop manufacturing processes, including scale-up and optimization for production.
• Define technical manufacturing requirements and procedures.
• Design and execute controlled experiments to address yield and quality issues and implement solutions.
• Troubleshoot process development and product transfer issues related to yield, quality, and throughput.
• Manage cGMP change controls, non-conformances, deviations, and root cause analyses while collaborating with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Chemistry, Material Science, or an equivalent field.
• At least 2 years of experience in process or product development and project management.
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control and Design of Experiments techniques.
• Experience designing, executing, and analyzing hypothesis-based experiments and drawing logical conclusions from data.
• Strong troubleshooting, organizational, communication, independent working, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.
