Document Control Manager (Heavy-Civil Infrastructure)

Salary: $120,000–$180,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead and oversee document control functions across complex infrastructure programs, including supporting assigned Document Control staff.
• Manage the document lifecycle, version control, metadata accuracy, retention requirements, and audit readiness.
• Administer enterprise document management systems, including permissions, access control, and issue resolution.
• Standardize procedures, deliver training and onboarding, and support continuous improvement and system automation.
• Track project deliverables such as submittals, RFIs, correspondence, and record documents against contract requirements.
• Collaborate with project management, design, construction, legal, QA, IT, agencies, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business administration, project management, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• 10+ years of hands-on document control or similar experience on large, complex heavy-civil infrastructure projects valued above $500 million.
• Experience with drawings, RFIs, submittals, correspondence, and other construction and project documentation.
• Familiarity with ISO-based document control standards, guidelines, and best practices.
• Advanced proficiency with enterprise document control systems such as SharePoint, e-Builder, Procore, Aconex, or Asite.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in engineering, construction management, business administration, or project management.
• Experience across highways, roads, bridges, rail or bus transit, international airports, and water projects.
• Experience across predesign, design, procurement, construction, and post-construction phases.
• Proficiency with Power BI, Oracle Cloud Analytics, or other KPI dashboard reporting software.
