Software Engineering Intern (Fullstack)

Location: Champaign, Illinois, United States; onsite

Salary: $18.00–$27.00 per hour

What you will do

• Understand customer and project problem statements and develop possible technology solutions.
• Write and maintain software for active projects across backend, web and mobile applications, databases, and cloud deployments.
• Collaborate with software development and deployment teams.
• Plan, build, and test complex functionality across multiple teams.
• Adapt to changing projects and learn new tools in an R&D environment.

Requirements

• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
• Current enrollment in a BS program in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Engineering, or Physics at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, or equivalent software development experience.
• Experience with general software development and tooling such as Git.
• Work or side projects related to software engineering.
• Availability to work a full 40-hour work week.

Nice to have

• Experience developing full-stack applications.
• Experience with Python, Rust, or TypeScript.
• Experience with cloud deployment, particularly Azure or Cloudflare.
• Experience working with databases.
• Interest in learning cutting-edge tools.
