TL;DR

What you will do

  • Develop and apply multiscale computational models of complex diseases using detailed biological and mechanistic knowledge.
  • Survey scientific literature to define physiological processes, model elements, data, parameters, and assumptions.
  • Identify and analyze internal preclinical and clinical data for QSP modeling activities.
  • Analyze simulation results and develop strategies to improve model performance and accuracy.
  • Document model development and data analysis, maintain QSP expertise, and communicate modeling predictions to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • PhD in systems pharmacology, systems biology, computational biology, biomedical engineering, or a related field, plus at least 2 years of postdoctoral experience in disease modeling or QSP; alternatively, a master’s degree with 4+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong publication and scientific presentation record.
  • Proficiency in mathematical modeling using differential equations.
  • Extensive experience with MATLAB, Julia, and R; MATLAB is preferred.
  • Ability to learn pathophysiology and treatment approaches in immunology, communicate effectively, and work independently in a multidisciplinary environment.

Nice to have

  • Experience in drug discovery or development, particularly bioinformatics or pharmacometrics.
  • Knowledge of immunology.
