Sr Scientist, Molecular Biology Scientific Data

What you will do

• Own digital tools, workflows, and the scientific data domain supporting molecular cloning and individual construct and plasmid design.
• Engage with molecular biologists, cloning scientists, protein engineers, and biologics discovery users to capture workflow needs.
• Translate scientific requirements into product priorities, system requirements, data models, and implementation guidance.
• Partner with software engineers, business analysts, and data teams through design, implementation, testing, release, and adoption.
• Define relationships among sequences, components, constructs, vectors, plasmids, molecule formats, and experiments across scientific applications.
• Lead requirements reviews, user acceptance testing, training, release communication, and data-quality improvements.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree, or a master’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree with 4 years of relevant experience.
• Degree in Molecular Biology, Protein Engineering, Structural Biology, or a related scientific field.
• Strong knowledge of molecular cloning and plasmid design, with hands-on cloning or individual construct-design experience.
• Expertise in antibody-based molecule formats, including antibody fragments and multispecifics.
• Experience translating scientific workflows into informatics tools, structured data, and technical implementation guidance.
• Knowledge of scientific data models, controlled terminology, metadata, identifiers, entity relationships, versioning, lineage, and cross-system integration.

Nice to have

• Experience with sequence design, construct registration, laboratory informatics, or comparable scientific platforms.
• Experience owning a scientific product, workflow, data domain, roadmap, or feature backlog.
• Familiarity with agile software delivery and preparing scientific data for analytics or ML/AI use.
