Project Scheduler (Heavy-Civil Infrastructure)

Location: New York, New York; Newark, New Jersey; Queens, New York; or Washington, District of Columbia, United States

Salary: $120,000–$190,000 per year ($57–$91 per hour)

What you will do

• Build and maintain integrated CPM baseline schedules spanning design through turnover, including logic links, resource or cost loading, and cost-control coding.
• Collect field progress data, update schedules, and prepare look-aheads, variance reports, earned-value forecasts, Gantt charts, S-curves, KPI dashboards, and narrative reports.
• Analyze critical paths, sequencing options, recovery plans, and alternative delivery scenarios.
• Integrate permitting, utility relocations, third-party interfaces, and long-lead procurement dependencies.
• Assess schedule risk, quantify exposure using Monte Carlo or similar methods, recommend contingencies, and track mitigation actions.
• Support change orders and claims with Time Impact Analyses while enforcing schedule governance and mentoring junior schedulers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on scheduling experience on large, complex heavy-civil infrastructure projects valued above $500 million.
• Experience developing full CPM baseline schedules, resource or cost loading, updating progress, and conducting variance analysis.
• Ability to interpret project scopes, drawings, and constraints and translate them into logic-driven, sequenced, resource-aware schedules.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, TILOS, MS Project, Bluebeam, RSMeans, and Microsoft Office or Office 365.
• Work is associated with projects in New York, New Jersey, and Washington, District of Columbia, United States.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in engineering or construction management.
• PSP, PMI-SP, PMP, and/or CCM certification.
• Experience with heavy-civil highways, roads, bridges, transit, water, and airport projects delivered through traditional or alternative methods.
• Experience with Time Impact Analyses, Monte Carlo schedule-risk analysis, Primavera Risk, Deltek Acumen Fuse, or @Risk.
• Experience building dashboards with Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
