Technical Manager - Field Services (Concrete Admixtures)

Location: Lawrenceville, Georgia, USA; full-time onsite role. Occasional travel required (5%–33%).

What you will do

• Manage multiple concrete admixture testing projects from initiation through completion, including timelines, budgets, deliverables, and schedule changes.
• Plan and supervise laboratory testing of fresh and hardened concrete properties, rheology, durability, and admixture performance.
• Coordinate laboratory technicians, engineers, quality control personnel, vendors, contractors, and clients.
• Evaluate chemical and mineral admixtures, troubleshoot mix design challenges, and assess compatibility with cementitious materials.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations, provide recommendations, and support proposals, bidding, and contract negotiations.
• Support research and development initiatives, technical publications, conferences, and workshops focused on concrete technology and sustainability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in concrete technology, admixtures, or construction materials testing.
• Strong knowledge of concrete mix design, performance requirements, and testing methodologies, including ASTM C494 testing and evaluation.
• Familiarity with ASTM, ACI, and DOT specifications and standards.
• Advanced English proficiency required.
• Project management, problem-solving, analytical, technical writing, communication, and interpersonal skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice to have

• ACI Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician certification, Level I or II.
• Experience with statistical analysis software and laboratory data management systems.
