CMT Senior Laboratory Technician or Supervisor

What you will do

• Perform laboratory testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt for construction materials testing projects.
• Conduct Proctor compaction, sieve analysis, Atterberg Limits, sand equivalent, uncompacted voids, compression, ignition oven, Marshall/Gyratory, and Rice density testing.
• Receive, sample, split, process, and prepare materials for testing.
• Record, calculate, and report test results accurately.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, testing areas, and quality control documentation.
• Follow ASTM, AASHTO, safety, project, and laboratory requirements.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience performing laboratory testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, and/or asphalt is preferred.
• Knowledge of ASTM, AASHTO, and industry-standard laboratory testing procedures.
• Strong mathematical skills, attention to detail, organization, and basic computer proficiency.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds regularly.

Nice to have

• ATTI, ASTM, or AASHTO Soils and Aggregate certification.
• ATTI Asphalt certification.
• ACI Concrete Strength Testing certification.
• Relevant experience and aptitude; training may be provided for qualified candidates.
