Program Manager (Banking)

Location: Phoenix, AZ, United States; full-time onsite role. Up to 25% travel may be required.

What you will do

• Develop strategic plans with business lines, shared services, and risk management partners, then decompose them into executable programs and workstreams.
• Manage strategic banking programs, including scope, timelines, budgets, resources, initiatives, and business case development.
• Track the program portfolio and provide leadership with metrics covering financials, risks, resources, dependencies, and delivery progress.
• Identify and resolve dependencies across people, products, and processes while applying change management techniques.
• Support the enterprise program and project master plan, coach project managers, and improve EPMO governance and planning maturity.
• Lead and develop a team when required, including hiring, coaching, performance management, training, and development.

Requirements

• 7+ years of related experience in project management or a similar field.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; a master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
• Advanced experience with EPMO governance, resource capacity management, talent development, technology program management, and strategic planning.
• Advanced communication, influencing, stakeholder management, financial management, risk management, and process-mapping skills.
• Knowledge of banking operations, regulatory and legal compliance obligations, industry standards, and commercial banking products is preferred.
• Project Management Professional and ADKAR certifications are preferred.
