Senior Consultant, Engineering (Energy & Infrastructure)

Location: Madison, Wisconsin, United States. Full-time role with occasional mostly same-day travel within the state.

Salary: $84,000–$164,300 per year, with actual compensation based on qualifications, experience, degrees, certifications, work arrangements, and geographic location.

What you will do

• Build, support, and deliver Inflation Reduction Act service offerings, including domestic content bonus tax credit and Foreign Entity of Concern analyses.
• Support management consulting projects for energy and infrastructure clients across the private and public sectors.
• Contribute to strategic planning, project feasibility, financial management reporting, budgeting, capital planning, and comprehensive financial planning.
• Analyze processes, internal controls, workflows, and compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
• Interview clients, research best practices, recommend operational improvements, and support day-to-day project delivery.
• Assist with client relationship management, business development proposals, articles, and presentations.

Requirements

• Four-year degree.
• At least three years of professional experience.
• Ability to work effectively with all levels of client personnel in a team environment.
• Strong time management, communication, interpersonal, relationship-building, collaboration, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related programs.
• Experience with financial models, income statements, cash flows, core financial processes, monthly close, or financial reporting.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, business, accounting, supply chain, engineering, or a manufacturing-related field.
• Knowledge of IRA 2022 energy tax credits and IRS guidance, including domestic content bonus credits and Foreign Entity of Concern compliance.
