Senior Specialist Underwriter (Financial Institutions)

What you will do

• Generate new business by expanding the broker network, attending broker events, and developing market relationships.
• Support delivery of new business targets and connect underwriters with broker networking opportunities.
• Assess Financial Institutions risks using financial reports, accounts, proposals, claims history, and company information.
• Use underwriting systems to streamline underwriting and information tracking across the profit centre.
• Provide timely, proactive service to brokers and clients while ensuring fair treatment.
• Maintain regulatory and risk management compliance, contract certainty, and required self-audits.

Requirements

• Proven underwriting experience in the London Financial Institutions classes.
• Experience presenting and selling Financial Institutions insurance to clients.
• Experience analysing financial statements.
• Strong communication, organisation, networking, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Customer-centric, proactive, accountable, and technically skilled approach.
