Technical Accounting Consultant (US GAAP): Providing technical accounting guidance, researching complex transactions, and preparing financial statements and disclosures with an accent on FASB, US GAAP, SEC rules, and newly issued accounting pronouncements. Focus on assessing accounting impacts, drafting policy memos, performing gap analysis, and supporting solution design across finance and accounting work streams.
Location: Dallas, Texas, United States; hybrid, remote, and onsite workplace arrangements are available.

What you will do
- Provide technical accounting guidance and support to clients through complex transactions and business changes.
- Conduct technical research and determine appropriate GAAP accounting treatment.
- Draft and review complex financial statements and related disclosures.
- Perform current-state and future-state gap analyses, develop business requirements, and support solution design.
- Assess the impact of new accounting pronouncements on policies and standards.
- Prepare accounting memos and policy documents and advise finance and accounting teams on day-to-day activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
- 8+ years of experience in external reporting or technical accounting with a large multinational corporation, Big Four firm, or large regional accounting firm.
- Strong understanding of FASB, US GAAP, and SEC rules and regulations.
- Excellent consulting, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels with strong attention to detail.
