Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary: $101,500–$127,000 base compensation annually

What you will do

• Lead the design and development of complex mechanical systems, components, and assemblies from concept through production.
• Create detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, and engineering specifications using advanced CAD tools such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or Siemens NX.
• Perform and oversee stress, thermal, dynamic, vibration, fluid-flow, structural, material, and failure analyses using FEA, CFD, and related methods.
• Lead prototyping, testing, validation planning, and design iteration based on test data.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, lead design reviews, and provide technical guidance across projects.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, manufacturing, operations, project management, supply chain, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering involving complex systems and products.
• Expertise in mechanical design principles, material selection, engineering analysis, CAD modeling, assembly design, and technical drawings.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary projects, managing priorities, and delivering work within schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, documentation, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to ensure compliance with standards such as ISO, ASTM, and CE and to address customer and field-quality issues.
