Controller Consultant

Location: Dallas, Texas, United States; workplace arrangements include hybrid, remote, and onsite options.

What you will do

• Partner with Finance Directors and client leadership to support financial objectives and business strategy.
• Manage month-end accounting close and deliver accurate, timely results in accordance with US GAAP.
• Review internal financial data to identify issues, opportunities, and trends that support decision-making.
• Design and maintain controls that reduce business risks and exposures.
• Lead change initiatives through coaching, training, and clear objective setting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field.
• 10-plus years of experience in public accounting, consulting, or industry.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, financial statements, and variance analysis.
• Experience working with large ERP systems and advanced technical skills.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to build relationships across organizational levels.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• CPA, CMA, CFE, or CIA certification.
• SEC reporting experience.
