Data Engineer III/Senior (Analytics)

Location: In-office/onsite in Atlanta, Detroit, Edison, or Dallas, United States; 26 remote days per year are available. Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, in office.

Salary: USD 130,000–170,000 yearly, depending on level and location.

What you will do

• Build and maintain enterprise data models, semantic layers, reporting datasets, and analytics solutions.
• Develop reporting experiences for operational reporting, executive dashboards, self-service analytics, and business insights.
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable analytical and reporting solutions.
• Establish data quality, testing, automation, observability, version control, CI/CD, and operational excellence practices.
• Lead solution design discussions, code reviews, architectural alignment, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, product, and business stakeholders while mentoring engineers.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to lawfully work in the United States immediately; U.S. work authorization sponsorship is not available.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience for Data Engineer III, or 10+ years for Senior Data Engineer; equivalent advanced-degree paths are accepted.
• Advanced proficiency in enterprise data modeling, semantic layers, scalable analytics, and complex SQL across multiple databases.
• Experience with data governance, data privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA, security, and compliance.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• End-to-end analytics engineering experience with Microsoft Fabric and Databricks.
• Power BI, Tableau, and Python visualization libraries including Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Plotly.
• Git-integrated CI/CD, automated validation, deployment pipelines, release governance, and DORA metrics.
• Databricks Data Engineer Professional, Power BI Data Analyst, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
