TL;DR
Senior Radiological Control Oversight Specialist/Auditor (Radiological Control/Health Physics): Conducting radiological assessments, analyzing dosimetry, supporting ALARA planning, and maintaining compliance documentation for DOE Hanford nuclear cleanup operations with an accent on radiological safety, oversight, and regulatory reporting. Focus on interpreting surveys, maintaining ALARA performance metrics, providing training, and reporting compliance findings in a high-stakes nuclear environment.

Location: Predominantly on-site at the Hanford Field Office and Hanford Site, Richland, Washington, United States; some remote support may be approved by the Contracting Officer. Fieldwork with PPE is required.

What you will do

  • Analyze dosimetry data and interpret radiological surveys.
  • Support ALARA planning and maintain ALARA performance metrics for DOE reporting.
  • Conduct radiological control assessments and identify compliance findings.
  • Provide training to maintain radiological control and safety standards.
  • Prepare thorough documentation and reporting for Hanford Field Office operations.
  • Support oversight and general services for the Assistant Manager for Safety, Environment, and Quality program.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of experience in radiological control or health physics.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Physics or an equivalent field.
  • Experience in the Environmental Management sector; DOE experience is preferred.
  • Accuracy, vigilance, and strong communication skills.
  • Facility Clearance is required; DOE clearance may be required depending on the assigned work.
  • On-site work at the Hanford Field Office and Hanford Site in Richland, Washington, with PPE required for fieldwork.

Nice to have

  • Rad Worker qualification.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, data analytics tools, and Visio.
