Corporate Counsel

Location: Hybrid role based in Melville, New York

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 per year, dependent on skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.

What you will do

• Prepare, review, negotiate, and manage corporate contracts across commercial, real estate, compliance, licensing, and employment matters.
• Provide corporate governance advice and prepare organizational policies.
• Support mergers and acquisitions, primarily through due diligence, contract review, negotiation, and closings.
• Identify legal risks and help protect the company’s business interests.
• Participate in legal department meetings, training, and interactions with internal and external clients.

Requirements

• Graduate degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York state bar.
• 4–6 years of experience in a corporate or law firm setting.
• Experience with commercial, real estate, and distributor or representative contracts.
• Ability to analyze complex documents and communicate effectively with strong business judgment.
