Lead Operator (Heavy Equipment)

Location: Union City, TN, USA; onsite, full-time

What you will do

• Coordinate the daily activities of heavy equipment and stationary equipment operators.
• Inspect, operate, and monitor forklifts, graders, sweepers, balers, excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and other site equipment.
• Record equipment inspection data, complete condition reports, and coordinate repairs with supervisors and maintenance staff.
• Review production schedules, estimate labor requirements, and adjust work procedures to meet assignments.
• Recommend improvements to production methods, equipment performance, workspace efficiency, and work quality.
• Assign duties, interpret work instructions, coordinate shifts, and train or assist in training employees.

Requirements

• At least three years of related equipment operation experience.
• At least one year of prior supervisory or lead operator experience at sites regulated by OSHA.
• Valid equipment training certificates and applicable operating licenses as required.
• Good time management, communication, follow-through, and team motivation skills.
• Ability to follow company policies and safety standards and maintain a clean, serviced, and properly stored work area.
