Temporary Associate Model Maker (Machining)

Work in hirify.global's Corporate Engineering Research and Development Laboratory, supporting new product and process introductions.

What you will do

• Set up and operate manual and CNC milling machines, machining centers, lathes, grinders, drill presses, saws, and related machine tools.
• Machine prototype components from 3-D model files and engineering blueprints within specified tolerance requirements.
• Design and construct fixtures, select tooling and operating parameters, and develop machining methods when standard approaches do not apply.
• Use precision measuring instruments and hand tools to perform bench work, assembly, inspection, and testing.
• Provide technical input to Engineering staff and perform laboratory functions such as hydro testing, inspection, and pattern approvals.
• Maintain equipment and the work area, follow document-management and email policies, participate in quality improvement activities, and comply with all safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school graduation.
• Minimum eight years of machine shop or related experience.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading, assembly drawings, shop math, geometry, and precision measuring instruments.
• Proficiency in bench work, including drilling, tapping, filing, assembly, and component inspection for form, fit, and function.
• Ability to set up, operate, and maintain laboratory machine tools safely, including CNC programming, setup, and operating parameters.
• Ability to work onsite in Easton, Pennsylvania, and willingness to travel.

Nice to have

• Mastercam experience.
