Staff+ Software Engineer (Agentic Software Security)

Location: San Mateo, California, United States; onsite five days per week

Annual pay range: $200,000–$300,000 USD in on-target earnings, including base compensation and commissions where applicable; additional bonuses and equity may be available.

What you will do

• Lead initiatives that eliminate classes of vulnerabilities across hirify.global products and infrastructure.
• Build security tools, libraries, and frameworks that help software engineers follow secure development practices.
• Use AI to automate security engineering practices.
• Build experiments and prototypes, drive adoption of security tools, and demonstrate organizational impact.
• Define, communicate, and execute security goals, priorities, and processes with engineering leaders.
• Collaborate with the CISO and security team and share security expertise through conferences, presentations, blogs, and open source.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a software engineer working on security problems.
• Daily production coding across a variety of technology stacks.
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience leveraging AI while building software.
• Interest in security weaknesses, attacks, and mitigations.
• Ability and willingness to work onsite five days per week in San Mateo, California.

Nice to have

• Master’s or PhD in security.
