State and Local Tax Intern – Summer 2027 (Tax)

Location: New York, United States. Full-time role with required travel to assigned client locations and reliable transportation.

Compensation: $36–$43 per hour.

What you will do

• Work with a team across tax specialty areas, including corporate taxation, individual taxation, mergers and acquisitions, and pass-through entity taxation.
• Complete tax planning and research.
• Prepare federal and state and local tax returns.
• Interpret tax regulations and accounting pronouncements.
• Collaborate across client engagements and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Complete at least 90 credit hours and work toward a B.A. or B.S. degree, or equivalent, at an accredited university.
• Major in accounting.
• Travel to assigned client locations is required; reliable transportation must be available.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Entry-level candidates requiring work-authorization sponsorship now or in the future are not eligible.
