2028 State and Local Tax (SALT) Entry Level Staff

Location: Principally in-person with workplace flexibility across offices in Colorado, Illinois, Ohio, and Massachusetts. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Some local, national, and occasional international travel may be required.

Salary: $74,000–$83,000 per year

What you will do

• Provide consulting services for state and local income, franchise, sales and use, gross receipts, and personal property taxes.
• Prepare state and local income and franchise tax returns.
• Write internal and external tax alerts covering current developments and planning techniques.
• Research complex tax issues and prepare technical memoranda.
• Build working relationships with colleagues at all levels and clients.
• Develop expertise in state, local, and federal taxation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in accounting, or a master’s degree in accounting or tax.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Currently pursuing an LLM, JD, or CPA license.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship is required.
